It’s been a great year for fighting games, with new entries to classic franchises being announced, but genre mainstays like Brawlhalla have continued to surprise. Developer Blue Mammoth Games has announced today that the title is bringing fighters from the classic Tekken series to join the game today alongside a new special game mode.

Devil Jin, Nina Williams, and Yoshimitsu are joining the title with their own custom Signature FX, lock-in animations, and places on the roster. There will also be a new buddy emote with an arcade cabinet and new Emoji skins for more characters. There’s also a new Map and Brawl of the week inspired by Tekken where players will play VolleyBrawl in the Mishima Dojo.

Each of the characters from the new Brawlhalla and Tekken crossover has abilities that mirror other fighters from the title, which will make them familiar to experienced players. Devil Jin mirrors Zariel, Nina Williams mirrors Lucien, and Yoshimitsu mirrors Jiro. Each character still has their own roster spot and custom maps.

The new Volleybrawl map will allow players to compete in a new way in the Mishima Dojo, with a 1v1 map inspired by the location as well to allow players to test their individual skills.
