Naughty Dog has recently confirmed on Twitter that they are actively working on Patch 1.0.4 for The Last of Us Part I for PC, which is slated for release next week. The announcement assures players that the patch will encompass framerate optimizations, graphical and texture fidelity enhancements, crash fixes, and more.
The Last of Us Part I’s launch on PC has faced multiple challenges, necessitating several patches to address a wide range of issues. Among the known bugs that players have encountered are longer-than-expected shader loading times, degraded performance and stability while shaders load in the background, and problems arising from outdated graphics drivers. Some players have reported being unable to boot the game even when meeting the minimum system requirements, as well as potential memory leaks, mouse and camera jitter depending on hardware and display settings, and corrupted or neon-appearing textures in the game.

- Loading shaders takes longer than expected
