The Sims universe is getting a new episode of Behind The Sims on June 27th, 2023, according to a new tweet from the IP’s official feed. It will delve behind the scenes across all major titles in the IP, and is scheduled to begin at 9 AM pacific time, on the official Sims YouTube channel.
The stream on YouTube currently includes key details about what will be featured in the upcoming episode. Most notably, it is expected to reveal more information about Project Rene, which is the biggest upcoming project in sight, and will potentially build a larger future for the franchise.
Other details add that Behind The Sims will discuss the Kit theme winners, The Sims Mobile, The Sims FreePlay, and The Sims 4 horses. This confirms the horse ranch expansion pack that was recently leaked, where players can raise and bond with customizable horses.
The Sims may be an older franchise, but interest in the series hasn’t waned. In fact, The Sims 4 just surpassed 70 million players in April. This is largely due to the dedication of the devs, who have consistently supported and expanded The Sims 4 with fresh content.
Like the upcoming horses fans are sure to enjoy, The Sims 4 continues to find new angles of livelihood, hobbies, style and more. This variety of content encourages players to remain invested and discovers new ways to intrigue each generation of fans. There’s an undeniable sense of freedom in this cozy series.
Project Rene was first announced in October 2022, during the previous Behind The Sims event, but it didn’t reveal more than some glimpses of gameplay. The devs have planned to openly share more details throughout development, so hopefully there’ll be more about some of the broader improvements and changes ahead.
