Featured Sonic Roblox Game Now Available

Sonic Speed Simulator, which is a game that officially partnered with SEGA, has now been released for free on the Roblox platform! When it was first announced, it was in a beta testing phase, which cost 50 Robux to participate in. That was very short-lived, however, because just a few days later the game is now available to anyone who has a Roblox account and wants to give it a try!

The experience is called Sonic Speed Simulator, which if you aren’t familiar, simulators are meant to put you in the shoes of whatever the simulation is attempting to convey. So, in this game, you are meant to run around collecting coins and orbs to build up your speed. You will start out as your Roblox avatar, but you can unlock characters like Sonic and Tales to play as them in the game.

Sonic Roblox Game World

For players who are in the know with Sonic the Hedgehog, you will find multiple world’s such as Lost Valley, Emerald Hill, and Snow Valley currently in the game which should be familiar to you! There’s also a variety of well-known characters from the franchise that you can collect or feature as your pet! There’s clearly a lot of love for the franchise thrown into this game, so it makes for a nice introduction to people who aren’t familiar with it.

Depending on the success of this game, it will be interesting to see if other gaming franchises bring their IP to Roblox. The platform is clearly a good way to familiarize a younger audience with a brand, which could open a variety of opportunities to get additional recognition.
