Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge has officially announced an Anniversary Edition, which includes the base game and the Dimension Shellshock DLC. It will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. According to a new post from Tesura Games, the physical anniversary edition will be released on November 17th, 2023.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge first released in June 2022, and the original version is available now on PC, mobile, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox. You can watch today’s anniversary edition trailer on publisher Merge Games’ YouTube channel:

Dimension Shellshock rolled out just a couple of weeks ago, adding an impressive amount of content. It ranged from the new Survival Mode to new playable characters like the Foot Clan’s Karai, who happens to be on the cover art for the anniversary edition. It’s a relief the DLC will join this physical release so soon after launching.

Given the mass appeal of Shredder’s Revenge, it’s a bit disappointing that the anniversary edition won’t be available on all major platforms, even if that’s fairly common. It also would’ve been nice if the anniversary edition had some fresh cover art.

A physical edition of Shredder’s Revenge is always welcome. Although some fans who already own previous releases might be a little frustrated, those who haven’t invested yet might reconsider now that Dimension Shellshock is included.

But there are no other incentives, like collectibles or exclusives. So, it might ultimately be worthwhile to wait this one out in case of future DLC.

Assuming the game continues to thrive, possibly with a jolt of success from the anniversary edition, new plans might be put in motion for even more DLC. Dimension Shellshock was certainly just as well-received as the base game. The turtles remain more beloved than ever, following the success of the Mutant Mayhem film, and the recent announcement of a game based on The Last Ronin.
