The real-time strategy genre requires a focus and planning that’s enviable, with the most recent Total War game being the ultimate realization of that. Now, Total War: Warhammer III fans are expecting the game’s third DLC, “Shadow of Change,” with the release date and price allegedly leaked by a known gaming insider.
According to the reporting of Dealabs bilbil-kun, players can expect the release of the Total War: Warhammer III Shadow of Change DLC will release on Aug. 31, with pre-orders starting on Aug. 8. The same article states that the DLC will be $24.99 before tax. The Total War Twitter account began teasing something around the same time bilbil-kun posted their article.
This tease from the Twitter account follows the previously released Warhammer III roadmap that stated the Shadows of Change update would be coming during the Summer of 2023. It seems like Creative Assembly wants to wait for the release date to get closer before putting it up for sale, with only three weeks between the pre-order date and release.
According to Dealabs, the Shadows of Change DLC is set to contain three new legendary lords, a legendary hero, 12 combat units, and nine new regiments. This seems to be the standard that Creative Assembly hopes to reach, as the next two scheduled updates, Thrones of Decay and an unannounced project will have similar content structures.
