The highly anticipated Valhalla Saga update for Tribes of Midgard has finally arrived, bringing an array of exciting new features, challenges, and enhancements to the popular action RPG. This update marks the culmination of a two-year-long campaign, offering players an opportunity to experience the thrilling narrative conclusion of the Einherjar’s fight against the Ancients to prevent Ragnarök.
To achieve the epic finale, players must defeat all four Ancients in a single world and return to the Sanctuary, all while uncovering the mysteries of the Sanctuary stones through each Saga Quest. Along the way, players can forge new armor, wield powerful runes, defeat two formidable Ancient Variants, and travel with style using mounts.
Mounts make their debut in this update, providing a much-needed 40% speed boost for the Einherjar on their journey to take down the Ancients and reach the epilogue. Each player starts with an Amber Horse, and various mount types can be collected from the Cosmetics menu.

Another significant feature introduced in the Valhalla Saga update is the Permadeath setting, which can be toggled on or off when starting a Solo or Multiplayer Survival World. With Permadeath enabled, players face the ultimate challenge—once they die, it’s game over.
In addition to these gameplay additions, the Valhalla Level and Rewards system has been revamped. Players now earn Valhalla XP instead of Season XP, allowing them to increase their Valhalla Level and claim Golden Horns from the Rewards menu. With these Golden Horns, players can pick and choose the content they want, providing a more personalized experience.
From April 11th to May 1st, players can also participate in the Byefrost festive event, celebrating the end of winter and the arrival of spring. Moreover, the update brings a series of adjustments to Ancient Runes, making them more powerful and rewarding for players who defeat the Ancients.
With a focus on balancing and improving various aspects of gameplay, the Valhalla Saga update also includes changes to combat, crafting, Saga Quests, Saga Village, and classes. These enhancements aim to create a more enjoyable and immersive gaming experience for Tribes of Midgard players.
As Tribes of Midgard’s Valhalla Saga comes to a close, players can expect an action-packed and thrilling conclusion to a campaign that has captivated fans since its launch two years ago. With new challenges, rewards, and features, the Valhalla Saga update offers an unforgettable adventure for the Einherjar.
