TSM FTX has officially selected their second pro for the mobile version of Apex Legends, which just launched last week, signing popular YouTuber “1ceStream”.
Here’s the welcome teaser from TSM FTX’s official twitter feed, featuring Bloodhound, big plays, and fun moments from 1ceStream themselves:
In the beginning, there was TSM, who went on to dominate the Apex Legends pro scene by winning five championships in a row.
As the meta changed, new teams developed intense competition, inspired and determined. But TSM FTX remains a highly dangerous organization that frequently places well in ALGS and other tournaments.
Given the reputation of the org, and the deeply rooted history, there’s a lot of pressure on the mobile team to fill in those shoes. They need to stand shoulder to shoulder with the core game’s ImperialHal, Reps, and Verhulst.
Fortunately, TSM FTX is making some great choices already, with 1ceStream. And just yesterday, they announced the first new member “Sonho”.
While 1ceStream’s trailer focused on a lot of quick scopes and sniping, Sonho’s welcome video showed off a lot of LMG and AR gameplay. Also, Sonho’s apparent legend of choice will be Wraith. Their trailer closed with a lot more footage of the player.
This leaves only one slot left to complete TSM FTX’s official mobile team, and the expansion is rolling out with surprising speed. These plans have clearly already been in the works for a while, so fans of the org should keep an eye out for the final selection.
Apex Legends’ mobile game is widely considered a vast improvement over its predecessor, by including many basic features that console players could only dream of like Team Deathmatch. The meta is extremely different too, and the exclusives are fantastic, so it’s more inviting to new players.
