There are a range of turn-based strategy games that seek to evolve on the formula, with the debut title of Capes seeking to make its own mark. To get players excited for the release sometime next year, Spitfire Interactive has released a new demo for Capes that will allow players to take on four missions in the game.
In addition to the launch of the demo, the developer has put out the first in its series of “Meet the Hero” videos. These will help players get a better idea of the crew they will work with and their special abilities for each player. The first character to get a video is “Facet,” who’s called The Ultimate Defender likely due to his tank abilities.
Spitfire states that this update is different from the last one shared earlier this year, with new features added like the ability to fast forward through enemy turns and quick save to return to important moments. There is also improved cinematics and UI, featuring new English voice acting to help a wider audience feel more comfortable with the interactions.
In addition to the new English voice lessons, there are also new languages added to Capes text like Spanish, German, French, Chinese, Korean, Russian, and Japanese. This will ensure that more players are able to access and enjoy the title ahead of its release in 2024.
