The Skate franchise is a series of extreme sport skating games released by Electronic Arts. The franchise has been running since the PlayStation 3 era, keeping consistent fans over three releases with a brand new one currently in development. To the shock off, the yet unreleased game has been leaked online, providing players with the chance to play EA’s newest game before release.

The file was tweeted unceremoniously by a Twitter user, in a post that features only a link to a download for the game’s Zip file. The file, titled “Skate (unreleased game by EA)” appears to be exactly what it claims to be, featuring a playable developer’s copy of the unreleased game for all players to enjoy.

While users in the comments seem to agree that the file is safe, players should always be careful when downloading files from strangers on the Internet. Some downloaders have reported Wacatac.B!ml in the game’s files, which is known Malware. As exciting as a leaked game may be, it’s probably better to ignore this file and wait for the game’s full release.

It’s currently not known who is responsible for the leak, or if it comes from someone working internally from EA. However, a readme file inside of the .zip claims responsibility. Also claiming that this isn’t the first time they’ve leaked EA’s content.

We reported recently that Skate 4 was to be officially revealed in July, and that a playtest was currently in progress for the game. It appears that fans will not have to wait a whole lot longer to get their hands on the game legitimately.
