Riot Games just released Valorant version 6.04, which features the addition of a brand-new Agent, Gekko. Along with the release of this update comes the start of Episode 6 Act II, which implies a rank reset, as well as the launch of the Oni 2.0 skinline and a new Battlepass.
The 6.04 update highlights the addition of Gekko to the Valorant Agent roster. Gekko is an Initiator from Los Angeles who leads a tight-knit crew of calamitous creatures. Gekko provides the Initiator class a fresh spin while maintaining some parallels to Skye in terms of having a supporting crew of creatures in their abilities.
Gekko’s Q enables him to equip and deploy his Wingman to hunt out enemies. Wingman can also unleash a concussive blast toward the first enemy he sees. Wingman sets Gekko apart from every other Agent since it has the capability to either defuse or plant the Spike. Meanwhile, Gekko’s E sends another member of his crew, Dizzy, which charges up and releases plasma blasts that can blind enemies in its line of sight.
The Signature (C) ability of Gekko allows him to throw Mosh like a grenade which can duplicate across a large area upon landing and explodes after a short delay. Finally, Gekko’s Ultimate (X) gives him the ability to link his mind with Thrash‘s and guide her across enemy territory so that she may charge ahead and explode, detaining all enemies within a small radius.
