War Thunder Holiday Event: earn new decals, vehicles, and reward chests

War Thunder has revealed another Holiday Season and 2023 Event where you can earn holiday-themed and New Years’ decals, a New Year Trophy, Ice Chest, an Almighty Key, vehicles, and more!

War Thunder Holiday Season and 2023 Event

Christmas and New Years Decals

From December 22 at 14:00 GMT to January 2 at 11:00 GMT, War Thunder players can earn the following decals:

• “Battle Rabbit” decal: Perform three battles in a vehicle of rank III or higher with an in-game activity of 70% or higher.
• “Dwarf” decoration (for ground vehicles): Defeat 30 enemy players while controlling ground vehicles of rank III or higher.
• Christmas sleigh” decoration(for naval): Inflict 50,000 damage while controlling a naval vessel of rank III or higher.

Ice chest and New Year trophy

From now until January 9 at 11:00 GMT, players will also notice two different chests in War Thunder. The new items include:

• Ice Chest: Perform three battles in a vehicle of rank III or higher with an in-game activity of 70% or higher.
• Almighty Key: Defeat 30 enemy players while controlling ground vehicles of rank III or higher.
• New Year Trophy: Inflict 50,000 damage while controlling a naval vessel of rank III or higher.

The New Year trophy can be purchased only for Golden Eagles, but inside it, you will find a vast variety of valuable items: premium account, Silver Lions, universal backups and boosters, premium vehicles, as well as all the vehicles ever sold for Golden Eagles or for Warbonds, but are not currently tradable in the game or on the market.

New Year’s trophy purchase price: 999 Golden Eagles

• Guaranteed Prize: 1-day premium account + 100000 Silver Lions
• Additional Guaranteed Prize:
  • One-day premium account — 15%
  • Three days premium account — 10%
  • Seven days premium account — 5%
  • 100000 SL — 16%
  • 250000 SL — 8%
  • 500000 SL — 4%
  • 1000000 SL — 2%
  • 50-300% booster for 1-3 battles — 20%
  • Universal backup – 3 pieces. — 20%
• Additional random prizes:
  • Talisman for vehicles (15% chance but at least once for every 14 trophy openings); breakdown of chance by vehicle rank:
    • Rank I — 16%
    • Rank II — 20%
    • Rank III — 25%
    • Rank IV — 18%
    • Rank V — 10%
    • Rank VI — 7%
    • Rank VII — 3%
    • Rank VIII — 1%
    • If all vehicles of the dropped rank already have a talisman, the player will be refunded fully for the New Year trophy — 999 GE.

• Premium vehicles including unavailable for sale (15% chance but not less than once for every 14 trophy openings); breakdown of chances by vehicle ranks:
  • Rank I — 20%
  • Rank II — 25%
  • Rank III — 23%
  • Rank IV — 15%
  • Rank V — 10%
  • Rank VI — 7%
  • If all vehicles of the dropped rank are already there, the player will be refunded the cost of the New Year trophy fully — 999 GE.

You can purchase the Ice Chest for only 10,000 Silver Lions, but you will need the Almighty Key for 50,000 Silver Lions to open it. You will find unique decals, decorations, vehicles, and camouflages from all past winter events in War Thunder (also in the form of coupons), as well as Silver Lions, boosters, universal backups, wagers, and orders. Almighty Keys can also be obtained in the Winter Quest!

From now until January 9 at 11:00 GMT, you can get event high-ranked vehicles of all types, trophies with rewards, coupons for decals, camouflages for event vehicles, player icons, and decorations.

In-game discounts

From December 22 at 14:00 GMT to December 29 at 14:00 GMT, you can save big on in-game items, including:

• 50% off all vehicles in the game
• 50% off talismans, back-ups, and modifications
• 50% off Premium account for 90 or 365 days in the game store or 180 days in the Gaijin store

Discounts work for Silver Lion and Golden Eagle prices for all vehicles apart from those added in the updates “Fire and Ice,” “Apex Predators,” and squadron vehicles.
