Barbaric Foes are just one of the many Daily Endeavors that you could get in ESO. When the Daily Endeavors reset each day, there is typically one challenge that has players hunt down a specific enemy type. For those of you looking to get all of your Seals of Endeavor for the day, this guide will help you easily find some Barbaric Foes.
What are Barbaric Foes in ESO?
Barbaric Foes are a very specific set of enemies that typically can be found around caves or rocky highland areas within The Elder Scrolls Online. Three enemy types that are considered Barbaric include Goblins, Lamia, and Ogres. In the past, there have been some issues with the way that Ogres are tracked, especially because they are considered Giant-kin as well. In that case, the best bet is to target Lamia or Goblins as primary enemies. Ogres can be saved as a last resort for the endeavor.

The kinds of enemies you’ll need to take out are simple enough, but it can be hard to tell where to find them in a game like ESO. Choosing any random cave or mountain will result in a completely random enemy type. Fortunately, there is a small list of easy locations to explore.
- Lamia Locations – Ko Estaran (Hews Bane), Maelstrom Arena (Wrothgar), Arx Corinium (Group Dungeon).
- Goblin Locations – Fungal Grotto I (Stonefalls), Bonesnap Ruins (Stormhaven), Divad’s Chagrin Delve (Alik’r).
- Ogre Locations – Scalecaller Peak (Group Dungeon), Shinji’s Scarp (Storm Haven), Orcrest (Northern Elsweyr).
Only 5 Barbaric Foes need to be taken out for the Endeavor to earn the 10 Seals, and that shouldn’t take long with the listed information. Afterward, you’ll only need to complete two other challenges and then wait for the reset the next day. Other challenges for today include completing duels, scrying for antiquities, extracting from enchantments, and consuming 3 drinks. Aside from the Barbaric Foes, the other Endeavors are easy to follow.
That’s everything you need to know about Barbaric Foes in The Elder Scrolls Online and the latest Daily Endeavors. For more information, head to our ESO section of the site!
As of 2022.03.19 the Ogres in Shinji’s Scarp (Storm Haven) did NOT work for Barbaric foes, but the bonesnap witches outside of Bonesnap Ruins did count towards the Barbaric Foes Endeavor.
