Wild Hearts is a fast-paced action game with a vibrant, stylized aesthetic and a synth-pop soundtrack, where players travel through surreal and dreamlike landscapes, battling foes, and dodging obstacles. There are many different materials and ingredients you might need to progress and craft things in the game, including many that drop from Giant Kemono. This is our Amaterasu Materials Guide for Normal, Mighty, and Volatile Amaterasus in Wild Hearts and how to get the different materials available in-game.
Amaterasu Materials Guide
Amaterasus are Giant Kemono that can be found in Akikure Canyon in Chapter 4. Their Elemental Weakness is Wind, and they are weak to Blunt and Slashing weaponry. To swiftly take down an Amaterasu, you will want to attack when the Kemono is absorbing its celestial thread from its surroundings because this is when it is weaker. Make sure to focus attacks on its wings when it is enraged, as they are most vulnerable at this time. Harpoon Karakuri is useful for making it harder for this bird to move around.
Here are all of the crafting and upgrading materials that Amaterasus can drop so that you can craft or upgrade armor/weapons to get to end-game hunts!
Crafting Material | Notes |
---|---|
Amaterasu Bast | Break chest |
Amaterasu Backbone | Break claws |
Amaterasu Pinion | Defeat |
Diabolic Amaterasu Beak | Break beak while enraged |
Diabolic Amaterasu Horn | Break horn while enraged |
Diabolic Amaterasu Talon | Break claws while enraged |
Diaoblic Amaterasu Pinion | Defeat while enraged |
Diabolic Amaterasu Tail | Break tail while enranged |
Dawn Guard Kemono Blood | Defeat |
Dawn Guard Teardrops | Defeat |
Giant Autumn Breeze Crystal | Defeat |
Remember, some items require you to break certain parts of the Giant Kemono, while others are more common drops after slaying one in any manner. Not all drops are guaranteed, though, so be prepared to grind for some materials.
We hope our guide on Amaterasu Materials in Wild Hearts has helped you locate the item you need. You can also use the Cyclopedia to check what obtainable materials have a chance to drop based on the Kemono if you are uncertain. The Cyclopedia also marks where their habitat is.
