Wild Hearts is a fast-paced action game with a vibrant, stylized aesthetic and a synth-pop soundtrack, where players travel through surreal and dreamlike landscapes, battling foes, and dodging obstacles. There are many different materials and ingredients you might need to progress and craft things in the game, including many that drop from Giant Kemono. This is our Sporetail Materials Guide for Normal, Mighty, and Volatile Sporetails in Wild Hearts and how to get the different materials available in-game.
Sporetail Materials Guide – Normal
Sporetails are Giant Kemono that can be found in Akikure Canyon (Chapter 1). Their Elemental Weakness is Fire, and they are weak to Blunt and Slashing weaponry. To swiftly take down a Sporetail, you have to be able to manage the Sporetail pups that get more aggressive the more its parent rodent is angered, but with a timely Star Bomb Karakuri, you can keep them under control. Then, target its head and use fire-based weapons to get through the battle successfully.
Here are all of the crafting and upgrading materials that normal Sporetails can drop so that you can craft or upgrade armor/weapons to get to end-game hunts!

Sporetail Materials Guide – Mighty
Mighty Sporetails are Giant Kemono that can be found in Akikure Canyon in Chapters 3 and 4, but you can often look for icons of this beast on the main map by participating in ongoing hunts. To take down a Mighty Sporetail, the battle is similar, you’ll just need to be more agile, more alert, and make sure you have the appropriate gear to do battle effectively.
Here are all of the crafting and upgrading materials that Mighty Sporetails can drop so that you can craft or upgrade armor/weapons to get to end-game hunts!

Sporetail Materials Guide – Volatile
Volatile Sporetails are Giant Kemono that can be found in Akikure Canyon, Chapter 5, but you can often look for icons of this beast on the main map by participating in ongoing hunts. Their weaknesses are the same regardless of level, but they will be stronger and more challenging at the Volatile level.
What separates your ability to successfully take down a Volatile Sporetail and a normal one is really your gear and mastery of Karakuri to effectively block/shield damage, dodge and avoid obstacles, and generally maneuver to do the most damage while taking the least damage possible.
Here are all of the crafting and upgrading materials that volatile Sporetails can drop so that you can craft or upgrade armor/weapons to get to end-game hunts!
