The recently launched Roblox game, Wisteria 2, has quickly become a favorite among Demon Slayer fans. Despite initial hiccups during the launch, the game seemed to be making progress. However, a data issue forced a brief shutdown, and after reopening, it became apparent that the problem ran deeper than initially thought.
On May 2nd, 2023, the Wisteria 2 team announced in their Discord server that the game would be closed for an undetermined period to address ongoing issues. Players have been experiencing softlocks, data problems, and losing money due to unstable game passes and developer products. Additionally, the game suffers from lag and glitches that negatively impact the gaming experience.
Hey guys, thank you so much for playing Wisteria 2. Lately, we, the developers, were discussing about the future of the game;
The game is in too much of a mess with people being softlocked left and right, data issues, and people losing their money over unstable gamepasses/developer products and the game just being one big laggy and glitchy mess.
So we have decided close the game down in order to work full-time on the rework we promised you guys. For all of the people who have been supporting this release, thank you so much and we’re sorry for releasing a faulty game.
The developers expressed their gratitude to the players for their support and apologized for releasing a faulty game. They have decided to focus on a full-time rework to fix these issues and improve the game for their community.
Additionally, the devs defended accusations of a cash grab with the following statement:
For those saying we just ran with what we made on the game that isn’t the case. The games code was so horrid it was just not ideal to have it open and people buy things and not receive them. We are remaking the game from the ground up and making sure such things cant happen. This is out of care for the game.
Your clans WILL save
While the duration of the shutdown remains uncertain, players hope it won’t be as long as the hiatus experienced by Pixel Piece, another popular game that faced similar issues and has been closed for months. The gaming community is eagerly waiting to see if the Wisteria 2 developers can resolve the problems and bring the game back quickly.
