Team Ninja has revealed the third DLC for their dark fantasy action RPG Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, titled “Upheaval in Jingxiang.” The DLC will be released on December 12, 2023, and will feature a new story scenario set in the Jing Province, as Liu Bei’s forces fight back against the threat of the Elixir.
As shown on the official Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty website, the DLC will be released soon. In addition to the new story content, Upheaval in Jingxiang will also introduce a new difficulty level, weapon category, demons, and endgame content expansion. The exact details of this new content are still under wraps, but it is clear that the team wants to give players a great reason to go back to Wo Long and continue the story. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty was originally released back in March, so it’s good timing for the new DLC.
The timing is especially good because the Soulsborne genre has not had any new games in a few weeks. This will make players hungry for more content, which is sure to get more eager hands on the DLC. There’s no announcement on how much it will cost, but there is sure to be a price reveal soon.
Upheaval in Jingxiang will be available on all platforms, including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
A free update was also released today in addition to the DLC announcement. It fixes stuttering and processing load issues in the PC version of the game and adds a Nioh 2 collaboration mission. Nioh 2 boss Mezuki is featured in the collaboration mission. After completing the mission, you can earn the Scampuss Hat, so be sure to try it out.
There was also a video trailer released with the news of the collaboration. It features a main antagonist as well as the protagonist of Nioh 2. There wasn’t anything said during the video that we didn’t mention above.
