As the conflict with the Dragon Aspects escalates, the heroes of Azeroth delve into the depths of the Dragon Isles to uncover the path to Neltharion’s hidden laboratory. WoW: Dragonflight – Embers of Neltharion, set to launch on May 2, 2023 PDT, introduces the mysterious underground zone of Zaralek Cavern.

In this new zone, players will embark on fresh quests, encounter intriguing denizens such as the Niffen molefolk and the Drogbar, and engage with the latest Dragonriding updates. New rare and elite creatures await, as well as treasures waiting to be claimed. Zaralek Cavern is situated beneath the Obsidian Citadel, where Neltharion once protected the Dragon Isles. Within this vast laboratory, the Earth-Warder conducted experiments in secrecy, hiding his forbidden practices from the other Aspects.

Despite Raszageth’s defeat, the Primalists continue their mission to undo the Titans’ work, forcing them to forge new alliances or rekindle old ones. Aided by the Niffen and the Drogbar, who possess extensive knowledge of the underground realm, the heroes of Azeroth must navigate the dangers of Zaralek Cavern.

Within the shadows of this cavern lies Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible, a new raid dungeon hidden in Neltharion’s secret laboratory. Here, players will confront nine new raid bosses, including Scalecommander Sarkareth, and attempt to stop the incarnates from seizing the dracthyr’s legacy. Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulties will be available concurrently, with new class sets to be earned in this epic raid dungeon.

In addition to exploring Zaralek Cavern, players will have access to new Dragonriding traits, glyphs, and races. The Winding Slitherdrake, a unique mount with customizable features, can be earned throughout the journey.

Dragonflight Season 2 expands the Mythic+ rotation, adding the remaining Dragonflight dungeons and select dungeons from previous expansions, such as Brackenhide Hollow, Halls of Infusion, Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr, Neltharus, Freehold, The Underrot, Vortex Pinnacle, and Neltharion’s Lair.

The cinematic reveal of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight – Embers of Neltharion offers a glimpse into the dark secrets of Neltharion’s laboratory, setting the stage for an epic adventure in the depths of Zaralek Cavern and the challenges of the Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible raid dungeon.
