Microsoft has revealed that they are introducing game hubs for Xbox Insiders on PC. This new feature is supposed to combine information and tools for specific games, offering players a single place for various game-related tasks. We’ve been waiting for a rollout or more information for a while, but it’s good to see we have a big update.
According to a blog post, Game hubs provide a detailed summary of each game, offering key information such as game details, installation choices, and gameplay statistics. Players can also monitor their accomplishments, see friend summaries, and get important updates within the hub. The highlighted sections feature new add-ons and their prices. Additionally, the feature includes the well-known “HowLongToBeat” service, enabling players to estimate their potential playthrough time using data from the gaming community.
Connecting with friends and playing the same game is easier within the hub. Users can compare progress, view profiles, check in-game activity, and directly send party invites. Additionally, the “From the developer” sections provide players with the latest updates, announcements, tips, and tricks from the game studios.
Microsoft continues to work on game hubs and has more updates in the pipeline. Players can find game hubs in the Xbox App on PC. As part of this, a temporary “Quest” linked to game hubs is now available in the Xbox Insider Hub until March 9th, 2024. This aims to encourage early adopters to try out the new features.
Microsoft suggests that Xbox Insiders should consider joining the dedicated subreddit for support and feedback. They recommend searching for existing threads before making new ones and using the “Report a problem” feature for detailed issue reporting.
With the arrival of game hubs, Microsoft is looking to improve the PC gaming experience. They’re creating a single place where gamers can organize their games, chat with friends, and keep up with their favorite titles.
