Xbox has just announced that Deathloop, Gears 5, Grounded, and Pentiment will become available for Boosteroid subscribers on June 1st, 2023, and that even more are on the way. Although a schedule wasn’t specified, today’s official blog post mentions that Xbox will “regularly add” titles from their PC catalog.

Boosteroid members will access eligible games purchased through Steam and the Epic Games Store, but support for the Microsoft Store is expected to be introduced later on. So, unfortunately, the collaboration will be a bit limited at first. However, Boosteroid is already a rather flexible service, which allows players to game on a wide variety of platforms.
Xbox’s announcement closely follows all of the latest developments regarding Activision Blizzard, which would also add future PC titles to Boosteroid. Today’s blog also mentions their plans for Ubitus, Nware, and EE. Thus far, it does seem as if Xbox users will benefit from the open-mindedness, however sincere it turns out to be.
Xbox’s PC catalog is truly expansive, and one of the highlights of the system’s own Game Pass subscription service. It would be a definitive leg up for Boosteroid, and fans can only speculate about the other potential titles.
The first four games that were revealed today offer a decent variety, including both the signature action-packed Gears of War franchise and the unique, illustrated world of Pentiment. Ideally, Xbox will remain consistent in its selections as the collaboration moves forward.
It would be nice to see more small gems introduced to Boosteroid. After all, a real highlight of the Xbox Game Pass is the discovery of indie games that might have otherwise gone overlooked. There are plenty of original titles that would benefit from the Boosteroid audience.
