Monolith Soft, the developer behind Xenoblade Chronicles 3, has revealed that amiibo figures for Noah and Mio, characters from the game, are in the works. However, no release date has been announced for these amiibo yet. Fans of the action role-playing game can look forward to the Homura/Hikari (Pyra/Mythra) double set, scheduled for release on Friday, July 21st.
In Xenoblade Chronicles 3, players can use the Homura amiibo to change Noah’s Sword Fighter class sword into Homura’s Sword of the Holy Grail. Similarly, the Hikari amiibo can be used to change Noah’s sword into Hikari’s Sword of the Holy Grail. The game, published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch, is the fourth installment in the open-world Xenoblade Chronicles franchise and the eighth main entry in the Xeno series. It was announced on February 9th, 2022, and released on July 29th of the same year.

The game’s story is set in Aionios, where two warring nations, Keves and Agnus, engage in perpetual war with soldiers who have a lifespan of only ten years. The narrative follows Noah, Eunie, and Lanz from Keves, and Mio, Sena, and Taion from Agnus. All six characters gain a mysterious power and decide to cooperate in their search for safety. Together, they uncover the mystery behind the never-ending war and the nature of their world.
Noah, the protagonist, is a Kevesi soldier and an off-seer assigned to Colony 9. Despite his slim build, he possesses impressive physical power. Throughout the game, Noah questions the nature of Aionios and the war, expressing discontent with the seemingly pointless conflict.

On the other side of the war, Mio is an Agnian soldier from Colony Gamma. She is an off-seer initially working for the colony’s arms expansion force. Mio is a serious and gentle character with only three months left to live by the time she meets Noah. The question of her legacy weighs heavily on her, and she hides her anxiety about her impending death from others.
With the announcement of the Noah and Mio amiibo, fans of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 can eagerly anticipate new ways to interact with the game’s characters and story. Keep an eye out for the Homura/Hikari (Pyra/Mythra) double set, coming to stores on July 21st.
